I am going to install a drivers side windshield in a 1997 Freightliner FLD120. I am not sure how to do it. I will probably be able to figure it out but a if anyone has any hints or can offer any tips please let me know. Thank You

terryalex29,

I've worked on a few 98-99 FLD120C's but not sure if it's the same windshield or glass set.

These trucks had split shield, urethane set, center trim molding and a one piece 21/2'-3" wide outer molding.

Does this sound like the same truck? If so, I can help with a few tips to save you valuable install time.

Yes that would be the one.

Well I got it in. We slid the glass into the molding and then roped it in from the inside. It went in great. I thank you for responding to my post Starquest. Have a great day.

You could save time by just hooking it in, using glass cleaner for lube.

Also, if you ever have to do both sides, DO ONE AT A TIME, because it is absolutely miserable to centre the whole assembly.

Hope this saves some headaches.
