Hello, and thank you for reading this. I'm just starting my own WSR business and this site has helped me an incrdible amount, but I still have questions. I have over 3 years experience in fixing chips, but none in running my own business. I've gotten my business lisence and my insurance is on the way. I already have a kit, but plan on buying a better one. Safelite seems fairly easy to get a contract through and I think I meet all of their requirments, but Lynx seems much harder. I'm going to be an all mobil business and under their requirments it states "You operate from a company controlled premises". Does this mean I have to own a shop? Does this mean I have to rent out a spot somewhere? I've seen many guys do it from the side of the road. I've also heard of people going from fleet to fleet fixing chips.
Also, it states, "Your business has been in operation at least one year". I have over 3 years experience, so is there any way around this? From what I understand the only way you can make any "real" money in doing windsheild repair, is through insurance. Is there any truth in this? If so, how am I supposed to make any money for the first year that I don't have a contract?
Any advise would be helpful. Thank you again.

Re: Help!!!
enkogneto,
Welcome to the forum!
A couple answers, then i'll jump aside and let others answer.
Sometimes with Lynx, it's easy to get confused between repair/replacement requirements and repair only requirements. You absolutely do not need a fixed location to sign up through Lynx.
You can download a Lynx application here:

You can find more information about Lynx signup here:

Hope that helps!

Re: Help!!!
Jeff answered your first question. I'll answer the one about making money through insurance jobs. I do very little insurance work, mainly because my fleet work keeps me pretty busy. I think I make pretty good money. While it is true that you make more money per insurance repair. It is also true that your expenses are greater for these jobs. By expenses I mean money wise( very minimal difference) and more importantly time wise. The best thing to do would be to have a mix of both insurance and fleet work.
Re: Help!!!
If you are already signed up with ACT and thereby already on the networks per se, can you then sign up on your own to get the referrals without any conflict? or do you have to terminate your affiliation with ACT first?
