I wanted to order one of the domes at the special price of $64.00. That really sounds reasonable to me.

I had filled out the order form but when the shipping was calculated to be $33.00....I declined. This ain't reasonable. I think that I could ship an anvil a tad cheaper than that. (three day ground is the calculated rate).

I know, it's very expensive.

Nothing we can do though. You can ship an anvil at that price, maybe, but try an anvil with the size of box we have to use.

So, I completely understand not wanting to pay that. The problem is all about the dimensions of the box. It's immediately oversized, even at only 1 or 2 pounds. That means that UPS considers it something like 30 some pounds (approximately).

I promise you we don't use shipping to try to make money. It costs what it costs.

What about the post office. My wife does a little ebay on the side and for light weight items it cost less than ups. Even Priority mail = 2day delivery is a lot less than ups if it is 4 pounds or less.

Buy several domes and the shipping cost would not increase by too much. Since they are UV resistant, they would make excellent hats

Whenever anyone buys a dome, you can add a lot of other materials for no additional SHIPPING cost.

Perhaps I exaggerated by "a ton" and also forget to put the word "shipping" before cost. It's early here!
