What are you all using to block UV light besides UV shield?

Was just wondering what all of you techs out there use to block the UV light while repairing?? I did a search and found some posts on it but nothing much.
I know the UV shield and the new bubble dome is available but wondering what else is being used. I personally use the UV shield from Delta Kits and I use a white towel for the other bridge when doing 2 repairs at once.
Any difference in color of towel when blocking UV rays??
Thanks.

Kitchen hand towel. 1$ at walmart. cant beat it. Some may say thats not good enough or doesnt block uv but the fact is I have never had resin cure while the towel is covering it. so thats good enough for me!

I have been using a dark hand towel to cover the bridge (s) during pressure/vacuum cycles. I find them easier to carry around than the UV shields. Wheather dark vs light towels makes a difference I don't know..........Regards......Tom

I have one dark one and one light blue and I havent noticed a difference in either one. one thing to do is send them through the washing machine before you use them. I didnt and had all that new lint on my injector. it didnt mess up any repairs but I had to clean it off a couple times.

I think blue is best because it absorbs all of the light spectrums. Black works good on clear cold days if you want to keep the glass warm.

Roof with luck if not paper hand towels or any clean piece of rag . Although I must say a dome or UV shield looks better.

All you guys are way too funny on this subject. Black, Blue, White or for that matter Purple towels make absolutely no difference to blocking UV. It's really has more to do with the fabric density than color. Any dense fabric will effeciently block UV's. I commonly use the color towel that has my printed logo on it! And that's white!!! If your logo looks better on blue or black go for it!!!!

If your not sure about buying this info just try leaving your UV lamp over your towel of choice some evening on your practice shield and that will answer everything;)
