TV Ad Gimmick...

I see and hear an Ad on TV and Radio that promises 24 FREE Dinners at a well known restaurant chain when you get your windshield replaced...
Im sure someone maybe Brian will know how they can afford to give away 24 meals with a windshield installed... Id bet Brian knows the Company Im speaking of...

Their famous line is...
"If you dont have a stone pitted or cracked windshield your gonna wish you did"
Im sure this ad must reel in the customers, its been on TV in different forms for years... I DONT LIKE THE AD, it is irritating... I havent mentioned the company name as I wouldnt want to give them any Credit...

The Only thing I can figure is that the Restaurant gives a big discount on the meals in exchange for the TV Promotion, and the Glass replacement company pays for the meals instead of giving the customer a "deductable" discount coupon...
OR Is it for customers who pay full price for the windshield with NO insurance involvment...


Whats the deal???

This is a big reason why insurance companies have been dumbing down replacement payouts and may exit glass coverage altogether. If idiots can afford to do gimmic marketing like this than they are asking to much $ per job.

The replacement guys don't have to resort to these tactics in our town. They are lucky. Punk kids smash out enough windows on a weekly basis to keep all the shops fat and happy. Too bad it does no good for WSR. Do you think there might be.... a....connection???? NAAAAH!
