Just a heads up concerning the 2005 mazda 3, 4 door sedan. 4 of my franchisee's have reported crack-outs this week. 1 was a crack-out during repair, 2 others were stars when the customer called, and were cracks by the time we got there(one car cracked out when the customer closed the door, and the total time from stone impact to payment of invoice was less than 3 hours. The last one was a bulls eye that cracked out in 3 different directions. So be carefull when you are presented one of these for repair.
Merci

With the recent unusually high temps in the northern area of your province......I'm sure your failures have more to do with techs not following proper hot repair techniques. I have a Mazda dealership I service weekly and haven't experienced one problem so far on this model. (temps have been in low 90's here) so......you need to cool glass every repair!
I may be totally wrong but I think you need to sit your techs down and educate them further, working on hot repairs;)

For the heat, I don't think it was a factor, the crack-out happened at 8:30am in a garage. For the other 2 heat may have been a problem but as I said the crackout happened before we got there. If no one else has had problems with these cars the great, we just had a run of coincidences.
