I was just wanting to get a thread started for guys to talk about their own different practice techniques.

Personally, I have just begun doing repairs and was wanting to know how you guys go about making your practice breaks...bullseyes, stars, bats,ect...

also if anyone wants to share anyother litle tips or tricks...have at it... :)

Spring punch for stars available at your local hardware, rubber band with a bead on it for bullseyes. and combos. Batwings are a different animal and should be practiced as they tend to be very tight and some won't fill easily.
Good luck, Scott Oh and what brand of gear you using if you don't mind me asking? If public reply is an issue PM it to me if you like. Scott

I find the best way to make batswings is by using a sharp carbon or very hard tipped scribe and a small hammer, hold the scribe slightly off the glass and strike with the hammer this will take practise to get the correct amount of force but it is the best way I have found of making these horrible little breaks.

CAUTION when making pratise breaks you should always wear eye protection as the bits of glass can fly everywhere.

Some of my best practice breaks were made with an old, weak BB pistol. It takes some experimenting with angle and distance, but after a while you can make a variety of different breaks. This is when you want your goggles.

I have been hit back with a BB that way hehe
I also had a friend who got shot in the leg with a .45 when they were shooting a metal plate and it bounced back at him.

I'm not afraid of a bb ...me and a friend once played tag with a pair of red ryders...lol

I don't plan on trying a .45...lol (overkill)
