To Small

I wanted to start a thread after this experience to get some thoughts on the subject. I was out drumming up some business when I spot this guy in a pusher with a chip saver on the drivers shield so I finished what I was doing and saw that he had pulled into the card lock outfit to fuel up. I thought easy sale there so I approached the guy and went into my schpeal. The guy tells me "oh I went to the glass shop and they said it's to small to repair", he claimed that while he was in Montana he pulled into a pop up repair location and was told the same thing. (This was before he went to the local glass shop according to him) I saw air clear down to the PVB, it will crack out in time. I personally believe the dude was blowing me smoke but I have heard of this before from some of my dealer customers. Your thoughts on how to handle a situation like this, you know turning the guy around and making the sale. I repaired this guys kid's shield about a year ago and he was present and recommended that his father get the repair done too but he still said it was not in need of repair, it was too small to repair.
Thanks in advance, Scott
