ACT is telling me today that Safelite in now requiring a copy of every signed invoice and they must be faxed in after the work is complete. What a pain, more paperwork to shuffle.

I haven't heard that they were requiring signatures on all invoices going to Safelite. However Friday when I processed a Progressive invoice, I was told I would need an invoice with customers signature faxed to them (ACT). I'm not surprised, we had never been audited by anyone until this year (Farmers & Geico).

This appears to be just another game of Safelites. This could back fire on them quickly. If they make it too much of a headache to file a claim, we'll just put any insurance that uses Safelite on a cash basis. "Well Mr. or Mrs. car owner why would you put a claim on your insurance for X amount." This appears to be an easy way to take money out of Safelites pocket. It is unfortunate that ACT will get caught in the middle.

I am not a member of Safelite, and I submit my invoice with their free online website. They haven't asked me for any signature other than to click yes that I have their signature on file. I haven't had any problems with them at all so far. :eusa_pray I just submitted one yesterday, and so far it shows that there were no errors, and it went through fine! :)
