when using the gm crack mender i noticed that is to me that the bridge with the three suction cups did not seem user friendly what i mean as i wonder if it would be just as easy to use the bullseye/star injector and single suction cup bridge. the apeature at the seal has very little differance in size. and would seem to hold better i guessing of course hadnt tryed yet. thanks for your input... jim

I had the same crack mender and never felt comfortable with it, look for a basic setup that can be moved along as needed.

The advantage of the try-pod design is that it keeps the seal at an equal distance to the glass at all times(other than a radical curve in the glass). When used with petrolium jelly as a lubricant(use the least amount possible) it slides along well on the glass, and requires little pressure to move it. If you have any questions call Shelby at GM, and I am sure he will be glad to help.

Merci

I believe folks use glycerin to slide their bridges on the shield with crack repair. As with any flexable product a petroleum based product is not recomended as they are adversely affected by it's use over time, (breaks down rubber, latex vinyl, etc...) I use capilary action to wick resin into cracks with good results, their are methods that don't require sliding and in turn cleanup!! Does that answer you question Jim?
