I recently registered my business with the state tax commission. I talked to someone today about wether or not i had to collect sales tax since i was just doing "labor" and not selling anything. In mississippi if you "repair" anything even if its just a labor you are required to collect sales tax. This really sux and the other bad part is right now they are makin me turn it in every month... anyone else have to do this??

Quarterly here. No big just add the % points on your bill or subtract from your gross and pay out yourself :eusa_thin . Most folk's don't think about it much, just another fact of life!!

dude all the sales tax does is pay for more road repair thus more gravel thus more chips resulting in more work for you gotta look at the upside ;?)
but seriosly everyone who lives there knows they pay sales tax so it is expected so why care? no money out of your pocket
