So there is a maintenance fee, support fee, per claim fee, and a monthly fee, correct?

Nope. There is a support fee (yearly) and a monthly fee. No EDI or per claim fees whatsoever.

So, if you do 5 repairs a day, 5 days a week on average all year, it would cost you $504 for the year (42 cents per invoice) for your insurance billing through this program. In comparison, it would cost you $2700 ($2.25 per invoice) through GlassComp.

In addition, you can sign up with the networks in days, rather than weeks or months.

How do I know which is better for me?
edirectBill or eDirectGlass Lite?
Also, how long will it take to receive the funds?
Thanks,

Good question!

eDirectBill is like A.C.T.'s $7.95/invoice option. You call Lynx/Safelite, and then you fax your invoice to eDirect to convert and process for you. You would then pay $5.00 per invoice plus $20/yr for this service. No access to the web based benefits like the edDirect Lite. This would be recommended if you were doing under 4 or 5 repairs a month.

The benefits of this new program take effect with the eDirectGlass Lite program. Contact Management, Marketing Manager, no EDI fees, etc. You simply sign up, you will receive all the information, including 45 of free startup help, and can bill all insurance companies directly through the web based program. When you enter the insurance company, the program will tell you what that insurance company will pay, and you can complete it all online. Extremely simple, and nothing like it in the industry.

You would be paid directly from the insurance companies, and it does not go through eDirect. So, the length of time is dependent on each insurance company.

It sounds like the eDirectGlass Lite program is the way to go.
Do we need to get an insurance approval first, prior to doing the repair or do we just set up an appointment with a client, then do the repair, then when I get back to the office, log onto the internet and submit the information, sit back and wait for the funds to arrive?
Thanks,
-Jeff

Jeff,

You will need to call Lynx or Safelite while doing the repair, just like with any other service. Once you get back home, you enter the info on the internet, and it will keep track of all jobs you have done, as well as their current status. Among many other things.

One last question. I think.

First, thank you for your time in answering all of my questions. I really appreciate that.

You had mentioned that eDirectGlass will obtain my network credentials with Safelite and Lynx services so I can obtain work authorizations and submit insurance billing.
Does this mean I don't have to personally sign up with the networks to be an approved vender of Lynx or Safelite but it come automatically when I sign up for
an eDirectGlass account?
Sorry for all the questions but I do appreciate your help.
Thanks,
-Jeff
