ULTRASONIC NOISE TRANSMITTER/VACUUM LEAK DETECTOR

Used devices cost only about 50 bucks or so to detect air/water leaks after a windshield replacement ... are these better than those expensive ones you can get from Equalizer? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

No.

I use one from Snap-On I bought several years ago. If you work on a lot of leak jobs, this tool is a must. Granted, you have to keep in mind that if the vehicle is wet, this can alter the results because the water can block the sound from traveling freely thru the source of the leak. Dealing with body seams can be tricky as well. If you are targeting a body seam, you will need to remove the headliner/trim panels to gain direct access for it.
Wouldn't give mine up for anything!
