Hi, I have always thought of billing insurance as a complex process. However, aside from the inherent bureaucratic inefficiencies of direct billing (on purpose or otherwise,) what information from the customer do I need in order to do so?

Goober,
Please do not consider this a blow off but if you go into the archives I have posted a bunch on this in the past. Hopefully it should still be there. Do some searches for it. Hopefully it will help.
Briefly, I would make sure you provide all pertenant customer insurc, info as well as vehicle info, damage info and a strong cover letter. Also make sure you send it to the actual insurance company and not their network. In the end they might foward it to the network though so make sure you stay on top of them.
Pay it foward,
Brian
