Parts Store Marketing

Has anyone ever approached any of the national parts stores to set up a windshield repair day for there customers?

I was thinking if you could get the store to post a sign maybe a month in advance for a "Save Your Windshield" day and create some kind of incentive for the store that this might generate some repairs. You could then do this with all the stores in your area.

Anyone have any luck with this or any ideas on how to make a program like this work?

I tried this with Checker auto parts in Mesa Arizona. There manager claimed he was unable to authorize this and referred me to their regional office which declined my request after referring me to 10 other people down the chain. There were to many other opportunities worth going after to try and get part stores at that time.
