Windshield Repair Forum

For those of you that have business relationships with replacement shops, what do you receive for sending referrals their way. Fee per customer (how much?), repair referrals, free or discounted replacements for customers that you have cracked out a windshield during a repair etc.......

Does it differ with the large franchises vs. the smaller owner/operator shops?

I am going to start approaching the local replacement shops in my area and I am looking to get a little guidance from others that have all ready done so.

What has been your experience?

replacement shops get a huge volume from going out to do a repair and finding out it should be replaced some lie and tell them it needs to be even if it doesnt
Your time will be better spent elsewhere

I refer replacement to them and sometimes they referrer a repair to me but it a repair they can't do. They do repairs also. It not much but it something.

I have a relationship with a independent replacement shop I get $20.00 for each refferal I send their way. In my opinion it's just smart business to have some type of arrangement set up to be able to offer this refferal service for your customers. As we all know we encounter windshields everyday that just can't be repaired.

I used to get $50 but the glass shop complained it was to much now its $40

I had 5 glass shops that i was involved with.. 2 shops gave me their ins
work. they didnt want the hastle of doing repairs they gave me 40.00 for most of the repairs plus i kept the extra repair money .... 1 shop wanted 15.00 for every job i did the other didnt want anything but referals back tp them so the point being there are many possibilities just choose whats good for you
