Has anybody here ever purchased the windshield marketing materials from a company called Impact Marketing? I found their web site, http://windshield-repair-exposed.com/ and was wondering if there material was worth the price they're asking for.
Thanks,
-Jeff

I purchased it in 2003 when it was under $50. At that price, even if you get one good idea it's worth it. I saw last month that his price is much higher now, but it looks as if he has added some things. If you have the cash and you could benefit from at least one good idea, it's worth it.

You have to ask yourself "how many more repairs do I need to do to pay it?" And then figure how many more repairs this year you will get because you read his information. You do the math and decide.

I'm not one to use this forum to advertise, but when something is posted about me, then I feel I should respond.

I'm not going to try and convince anyone that my course is for them and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

When I first started offering the course about three years ago, it consisted of two manuals and the price was much lower. Over time the course has evolved into ten manuals and so yes, the price is higher now to offset my costs.

Also, in the beginning (about three years ago) the course was geared more towards those just getting started in windshield repair. Since that time I've added a great deal of marketing information that benefits everyone, whether new or a veteran.

The letters and emails I receive reflect that. Still, I know that for one reason or another that not everyone who orders my course will find the value in it, just like the companies that sell repair kits experience, so that's why I have a no-questions-asked, money back guarantee.

In fact, I'd prefer only those that are serious about expanding their business order because I lose money on curiosity seekers or those just ordering to get a free look, because I give free shipping and handling, which the cost is considerable considering the size of the package.

Ok, so I received these materials as part of a delta order.

Here's my honest take:

- Out of the numerous guides that were sent I felt only the first one had useful ideas that I really think could benefit a new technician that is not very business savvy. Items like customer surveys and setting-up referral system with local businesses were good suggestions and if followed through would likely lead to more business.

- There were several other guides that I thought was more fluff than useful content. Once again, someone very new to business might find all of the guides useful.

- The forms that were provided seemed old and dated. They also had typos and/or wording that I do not feel fit my style or was a professional presentation.

- Scott seemed like a nice guy and genuinely wants to help.

- The product was shipped quickly and as promised.

- If you have the money and are new to business in general, I think there is some value to purchasing his guides.

- For a new tech and new to business, the more business information you soak up that covers more than doing repairs is essential to be succesful.

We bought it then returned it. It wasnt any use to us. However if we would have purchased it before we started it might have helped. Dawn
