In the Uk, anywhere outside of the sweep of the wipers, we are allowed unlimited damage. So if I save a screen by repairing a crack, stop it running in this area, is it ethical to bill the insurance companies. Or is the screen's structural integrity still weakened.

If you have done the job right bill them we do every day. We find edge cracks no problem mind you been doing the for nearly 19 years.
