Well I called into delt kits today and order the usually 20+ droppers... We go through them very fast... She told me they are getting new plastic droppers that have marks on them for the proper amount of resisn.:eusa_whis

Are they still going to be made of rubber? I don't know about the anyone elses experience but every dropper I've used that comes with the resin doesn't last. The hole in the top wears out, causing suction loss and the seal erodes.

I've found a plastics manufacturer near me that offers something that has so far stood up to the worst punishment I can think of for a dropper short of stepping on it. And they're a lot cheaper too.

I always flush my dropper with denatured alcohol after use.
Previously; I had a problem with them wearing out when I just left them on the resin bottle.

Couple things...

The new droppers are still in testing phases, so they won't be released for a while. That information shouldn't have been released yet until we have them in stock, so our mistake.

To clear up a misconception, our dropper tips are not made of rubber, they're made of Monprene, which holds up much better than Nitrile, Rubber, etc. to resins and alcohols. The new droppers will retain that superiority as well.

Regarding the problems that Mike has experienced, they are attributed to one thing only in our testing. When using the dropper as a cap, even just a couple times, if it's threaded on too tight (even as tight as a regular cap), it can slice that Monprene inside, creating a hole, and causing leaking.

Delta Kits recommends never using the dropper as a cap, but if you do, make sure to not overtighten, or this will be a problem. This will always be a problem, even on the new droppers.

So, please don't use it as a cap, but if you are like 99.8% of people who don't listen to me (;)), at least only tighten as far as needed rather than making it tight.

I am hurt! When I called a little while back and asked if you guys would ever have graduated droppers or mark the glass ones. I was told zilch and now I find out I have been left out of that good info:)) Glad to hear it though. Put me in for a few.

I know it is not reccomended, but I use the dropper as my cap and store in an upright position. Just takes a little common sense. I am a bit of a rebble though:))
