anyone ever fix chip on dirver side front of driver view.
is it legal to fix.

Repair them all the time. Legality may depend on where you are.

I have done it a couple of times and was told it was up the owner. If the job was sent my and insurance company there may be an issue if something were to happen due to the damage not looking good directly in there view. Not 100% on that but am pretty sure of it.

each state has its own inspection rules but even if you are in a strict state if its invisible after you fix it whos to know

If I did not repair in this area my income would drop and the amount of screens replaced go up.

I always tell the customer the issue first-- like how it will still be vissably noticeable beings it is directly in the driver's line of sight. And let them know that it is up to them to decide if they want to procede repair. So far, nobody has turned me down because of this issue. But personally, I would feel a lot better about being turned down from a repair than to have a dissapointed customer.

:eusa_shif :eusa_booh :eusa_pray i repair them all the time and i think that the big rumor started from replacment shops . it just gives them another reson to sell them a windshield instead of repair.
