I have heard several of you all go to local glass stores and get some replacement glass that they have pulled out of vehicles, but do they ever give you any grief? Atleast all of the companies around here also do chip/crack repair so I wonder if they would give glass to the competition.....

It only takes a minute to ask. If they say no, ask somebody else.
I never had a problem getting a scrap windshield from the local glass shop.

another good place to do practice repairs for yourself and employees is at a junk yard
