Long Crack Question
Posted: November 16th, 2006, 9:31 pm
Yesterday I received a call from a customer who said she had a had a combination chip with a four inch crack extending from it.
When I got to the job today, the crack was about 14 inches . and followed a half circle pattern.
I don't normally do long cracks that long but since I was already there, I decided to fill it.
I had a hard time seeing the resin as it wicked up the crack and kept curving to the left.
Does anyone have any tips on making the resin flow more visible?
Has anyone ever tried using a long crack mirror?
Is a long crack (12 in) uv light a necessity? I have a small (6 in) uv light with suction cups so had to reposition it several times.
Suggestions?
