Has anyone done any plate glass repairs? If so, what resin did you use? What is different in your technique, from doing a windshield?

I thought I would wait for others to reply, but since no one seems to be stepping forward, I guess I will be the first. I have done lots of plate glass repairs over the past 20 years, using Delta Kits plate glass resin. The process is very simple, but also very different from windshield repair. A good UV light is very important, but other than that no special equipment is necessary.

Plate glass repair is a niche market that not many delve into, but for those that do, it can be very lucrative. Please give me a call if you would like to get a list of materials you need. I would be happy to discuss the products you need, provide you with instructions for the process, and share the details of my experience with plate glass repairs.

I received some info from Matt. I think I understand. One question. If none of the pieces exist, how far will a bottle of 144-6 go? I mean with normal size BB gun damage. Actually since I was approached by this person. I have found out, no one offers repair to plate glass around me. So, as soon as I get some time I will call and we will have that discussion about this avenue of revenue.

If all the glass is missing a bottle of plate glass resin will last for about 5 repairs, assuming the break is typical, meaning BB size on one side, and 1"-1.5" on the other side.
