New Repair kit Needed!

Hello all, If you read the post 'Just a few questions' I am looking to expand my repair business. However one problem, I have for about 15 years now used the old Glass Medic 120v repair kit. I know, I know, but it works good for me.

Problem is..it is what it is an old outdated unit only capable of one repair at the time hard to set up and will be very hard to train another tech to use!! did I mention how slow it works? anyway, It will take forever to train someone to get a feel for this machine, when I first trained on it I broke more glass than I repaired! I do have a friend that has a Superglass franchise and they use a very similar unit to this one, and he loves it! but I need something more productive and user friendly.

Did I read somewhere that Delta kits will give a trade in amount for other w/s repair kits from competitors? This kit would be an antique or classic (should be worth more right LOL)

I am leaning towards Delta for kits and resins. I am looking for opinions please.

Chris..again :D

I have responded to something like this earlier. I am a Glass mechanix guy but from what i had gathered from this forum, Delta Kits are one of the leaders in this game. Hope this helps.

How do you like the GM kit? I bought one of their kits from an older guy who got discouraged and retired from w/s repair.

It was a two bridge kit and had another bridge for long crack repair and some type of set up for plate glass repair. and like 50 different resins!? blue and green tints?

Another box had a fabric kit for cigarette burns and other fabrics. This all came with some older VHS instruction video poor quality production if I remember it right.

I bought this kit for $300. Maybe I should have kept it. This was 7 or 8 years ago, and I just bought it to help this guy get out of business.

I am quite happy and comfortable with the the Glass Mechanix Kit that i m currently using. Very similar to the one that you have just described. My repairs, i can say is right up there with the game. What happened to that GM kit anyway?

We give a 40% discount on "like" windshield crack repair kits. So, if you turn in a single bridge kit, you'll receive 40% off a single bridge kit. Double for double, etc.

This kit the Glass Medic doesn't have a bridge i guess, it has a single hose and a suction cup that vacs to the glass and the injector goes in the center of the vacuum cup. It does have a smaller cup as well that allows you to do chips next to the edge of the glass, you probably just have to see it. Tell me more, what can we work out on a trade in. Thanks Chris.

I sold it a couple of months after I bought it, never used it. I just bought it to kinda help this guy out.

That's close enough to what we call a bridge, so no worries. If you choose to do a trade in, give us a call.
