I was just wondering if this is legal to charge the insurance more money than the customers.. example:: my rate is 40 dollars for cash paying customers and 50 dollars if bill thru the insurance company.. because of the fee and others.. so is it legal or not.. just want to make sure if this is okay..

Thanks

Certainly legal over here. You can charge what you want to who you want. I must say I am glad I am this side of the pond I would not want to work for the prices some of you guys charge over there. Mind you some sunshine might change my mind very quickly.

Yes it is legal. Our cash rate is HIGHER than most insurance companies pay. Our cash price is THE price. We get paid what our services are worth. The insurance companies and TPA's just won't pay our cash rate so we accept what they are willing to pay in order to do the work. (that is as long as they don't start the $35.00 repair stuff. Then the customer pays us cash and they recoup from their insurance carrier)

It is legal for you to charge whatever you feel the service is worth.
If the customer agrees to the price before you begin and likes the result when you are finished; thats all you need.
Nowhere is it written in stone how much you can charge. :eusa_naug

Just another thought on this one, how many find that the customer that gives them the most work also pays the highest price per job.
