Well the MTE was another great show this year. For those who couldn't make it, consider it for next year. My Friend Matt was there from Delta Kits and his side kick... whats his name?...Jeff ya thats it. I was surprised that this year only had 2 windshield repair companies there. In the past there have been 6+. I think part of the problem is when people can see systems side by side, and the results they give, there weakness are evident.

This year Jeff talked me into taking the training, convinced they could show me something new. Well a man of my word I have to give credit where credit is due. MATT did show me something new :)
All joking a side Matt and Jeff put on a very good hands on training session. There were people there who like myself have done windshields for years and people who had never touched a system before. There was something for everyone.

Thanks Delta, Jeff, and Matt
Guess you can teach an old dog new tricks!

Well if the expo is at the same place (Clearwater) try going to trip advisor.com and read the reveiws,

Clearwater beach is lovely but also lots of construction going on. We booked a room for 2 nights at the Gulf Veiw resort/hotel but when we arrived to our horror there was lots of scaffolding up and workers drilling and doing thier stuff, pool was closed and manager a complete Ass*ole, untill he gave me the hump, I got angry  and then he was very friendly:confused: and offered a prompt refund! so we ended up staying at a place called Comfort Suites on the other side of clear water about 10 mins drive from the expo, which granted is not as nice as Clearwater beach but hey, we were only sleeping there and the rooms were spotless. Also a lovely resturant called Bon Appetit just 5 mins drive away, 10 out of 10 for food and service one of the best places I have ever eaten and the prices were more than reasonable with a great veiw of the beach, it was bliss. Don't be put off by the fact that Comfort Suiets is only a 2 star, its very nice for the little money they charge ( 2 people for 2 nights around $165 total inclusive and 2 king sized beds, TV and Fridge also includes free wifi internet connection and a breakfast which was OK but could be a liittle better, eat as much as you want but limited choice but it was fine. I would not stay there more than 3 -4 nights though! But very friendly staff which put our other resort we stayed at which was the Bahama Bay Veiw Resort in Davenport to shame, I think that is a 4 star and the staff I found were unhelpfull and rude, condos we had (had to be moved 3 times) were dirty and infested with ants and again lots of construction starting at....wait for it..... 3AM so the builders can go home early in the day! Not nice! Maybe I am just a fussy brit but lots of other people complaining also. But defo look at trip advisor and call the motel/hotel or resort yourself and make sure there is no building works as you will not get a good nights sleep and end up being in a bad mood all day.

Great show, smaller than I expected but great people and well worth a visit. I hope to return in 2009. Hope this longish post helps as I think there is nothing worse than paying out money only to be dissapointed when you get there.

If you really want tosave lots of money you can get a tent and have a beach party:eusa_danc
