Got yet another question for the pros.
So I get a call late today from a client who has a simple star-combination break with a drill bit bur in the center of it. She went to have the w/s repaired at a local replacement shop this morning, when the bit broke off in the repair, the replacement shop told her it now has to be replaced.
She wants me to attempt to repair the damage, has anyone worked around broken bit before? odviously you cant make the end of the bit disapear and thus will always see it, but any other fill in problems?

Open up the centre with your dremel in order to loosen the broken bit inside. Then use a heavy duty (large magnet) to pull it out.
Hope this helps.

You could drill down beside the broken bit and use a needle or probe to get it loose. I have seen this before.

LOL Hey just get the bit out, and look like a hero! I have a probe I bought from Liquid Resins. It has a straight carbide tip rather than tapered. Works great for popping bulls, and it has a magnet on the end. Works great if a bit does happen to break.

If you drill next to the piece of bit like vinyl4ever said but drill at a slight angle towards it. When you hit the stuck piece the spinning bit will take it right out. (you might want to wear eye protection)
