Had a client of mine call me and ask why I wasnt doing windshield repairs any longer. WoW news to me. She had called her 800# to have safelite send me out as normal. She was told that safelite didnt have anyone to service her area(rural nevada) :eusa_liar and she would need to bring it into Carson City and have them(safelite) repair it. ( I have done repairs for her in the past at her home nice drive nice lady great cookies :eusa_ange ) Long story short DUH I do repairs still. lol I drove out to her home, sweet lady turned on the defroster so I would see it better and it cracked out b4 I got there. Called safelite to ask if their was a mistake with their system I do drive to Topaz Lake and they said OH NO Problem. Asked for a supervisor oh so much help.... Had to call regional. 3 days later I get a call and the regional wants the ref# Well their isnt one because they told her no one came out her way. Well isnt that something not only are they steering AGAIN or should I say still now I cant even complain. I have stopped doing insurance work for this reason!!! Sorry bad day:tongue:

Around here this is the norm, not the exception. To bad about the crackout. I allways school my customers about the steering issue, ("not a preferred provider, we can't guarantee their work, WE can have a tech out tuesday, etc etc") and when I do call it in I tell them that "this call may be recorded for training purposes" the I put it on speaker phone and hand it to the customer. Sometimes during the call they will start in with the steering attempt and I immediatly chime in with " your not trying to steer this customer are you?" they are usually suprised and then I say "you know that steering is illegal don't you? I have never had a problem with them after that. It seem that they have me on their don't f with this one list, as it is becomming less frequent.
