technology affect the repair business?hi every one,im from the us territory(puerto rico).i work with the windshield repair business for about 12 years.the technology over the pavement here was with asphalt. grave,stones etc...in the past i was earn much more than now.On those days i saw in the local news paper an article that report a "new technology to make the pavements more solids".The government call this the "superpave"(superior performing asphalt pavements).Also i hear that have some plans to use the recycle rubber to make the highways etc...someone work with the windshield repair business with this technology?The states of united states have this pavement system right now? This affect in some way the stone chip problem?Thanks for the attention.

hi im rich with Desnoyers Windshield Repair and we are located in west central florida.
adding rubber to the high ways is a good thing for windshield repair.
Yes the roads are becomming harder and stronger but at the same time the rubber makes rocks bounce higher and longer
its not the poor quality of the roads any more its from the constrution of improvements that the cause of most rock chips. all the suff thats on the roads. most places have poor mantance. ( the poorer the better)
for windshield repair.

In the area I live we have a lot of construction going on , apartements , homes and new roads. This means a lot of dumptrucks on the highways and they loose their gravel , because they carry no tarps over their beds to cover the materials. As long this is not mandatory I will have a steady flow of customers with chips , stars and cracks in their windshields come in to see me.

Rubber in the asphalt makes the roads less rocky, but the rocks that are there bounce higher - I love it.
