I was going to try this today and was rained out:( ., so I will just ask. I have noticed alot of glass with just little chunks out of the top layer. No bullseye, No star, just a little pin head chunk. Is it possible to just cure some pit fill in these little chunks to rid the screen of these bad looking spots.

My experiance is that yes you can fill these areas but they come out after a short time.

I thought that would be the case. I have several car lots asking for this fix on the used cars. I had one today that had about 15 of these chunks, and was rained on before I could try.

I also have dealerships that request this type of repair be done newer and high end vehicles. They are trying to eliminate a picky customer from requesting a new windshield. They are not so concerned with it once the vehicle is sold. To me it is more of a pain in the A$$ than a fracture when you many of them. If they want to pay for it, who am I to say no.

For retail customers, I usually just do them at no charge.

the chunks in the glass are from sandblasting and some of the larger ones are from rocks that didnt break the sub surface. as far as repair you can fill with pit fill to make the surface smooth, as far as charging for that kind of fill i dont,

If anyone asks me to work then I charge regardless of trade or retail. Its funny that sometimes it is our best customers that get charged the most. When I do small chips I always just wipe a very small amount of normal resin into the pit before using pit fill to finish in tests this has given us the best and longest lasting results.

Curing twice? Isn't resin that is cured, cured?

he meant do you cure the thin resin before applying pit resin.
