Chip Savers?

Was curious to know how many of you offer these to your customers?
For two years now, I've been gluing my business card on the back of these and always ask the customer to put them in their glove box with owners manual in case of any future damage. I also explain prior to every repair that any pre-contamination to damage may reduce the cosmetic results of the repair. (this always lowers their expectations for the repair being performed)
So far, this has worked out well for me. This year, I've almost doubled my repeat referral customers. Every time they get another chip, quess where their mind set is? Straight to the chip saver in the glove box with my business card attached!
If you don't currently offer these, consider trying too. Just one repeat customer repair will pay for these for a year supply.

I get the ones that are both my business card and chip savers. I explain what they are for and encourage them to use them on any future damages.
They are a very useful and a good business tool and customers really seem to appreciate that you are looking out for their future.

Splitpit,
Great info! Would you mind sharing printer business company that incorporates business card with the chips savers? I'm really getting tired of gluing these!
Thanks,

I stamped my company name on the back of the chipsavers, in order to save business cards, remember........ I'm Dutch, tight !
When someone inquieres about my price how much it will cost to have a chip repaired and they can't decide to have it done rightaway , I ask politly if I may put a chipsaver on the dammaged area to keep the weather out . ,,REPAIR ME ,, is my favorite one and hand over the card , saying ,,you have 5 more to go and you will see me advantually , thanks for stopping by ,see you later ! I've had people asking me : Is it fixed now , man that's nice ! After me explaining it's only temperarely , most of the time I have to fix it permanently. Doing this promotional card giveaway you turn the suspect into a prospect !

Camaroon4me ,
Thanks for your further info.
At this time I stay with DeltaKit chipsavers ,'cause they have 6 patches on one card and they cover any small chip or bullseye !
Your Wayward Stone Patch looks good., would these work as a nicotine patch too? LOL

Well GlassStarz,
I found to have the opposite effect from what you have experienced. Maybe your area and customers are different from mine. Who knows? Maybe I educate my customers to the idea of using chips savers to keep things dry and clean better than others.
Sorry that this didn't work for you. Thanks for responding and sharing your views.

The key is in telling them that these DO NOT keep a chip from running. Their only purpose is to keep the damage from being contaminated by water, dirt and bugs, which makes for a better looking repair. I give them to all my customers and it has been a benefit to my business.
