windshield coating??

ive heard that some chip repairers are applying a special coating on the windshilds to keep them chiping again. can anyone give me any info on this? thanks.

Just curious.How can a company request that their products not be talked about on a forum?? there are some repair centers that say it prevents chips, is that accurate? i heard there cahrging atleast 50.00 to coat the windshield. is this bs?
