ive heard that some chip repairers are applying a special coating on the windshilds to keep them chiping again. can anyone give me any info on this? thanks.

If that is the case; then the coating must be tougher than the glass.

Sounds like Diamon Fusion or another nanotech product.

It's a product from a company that has requested their name or products not be spoken of on this or any website. All I can say is that it covers the perimeter of the windshield which is the most likely location for stone damage to spread.
Their loss in my opinion but that is the way they (he) wants it.

To my knowledge Nanotec doesn't claim to be a rock repellent.

Just curious.How can a company request that their products not be talked about on a forum?? I thought this was the land of free speech etc.

Diamond Fusion is sold through several dealerships here havnt repaired one yet hope that doesnt mean it actually works its part of a whole protection package they sell in the finance dept

so does it repell water or make the glass stronger and seal it?
there are some repair centers that say it prevents chips, is that accurate? i heard there cahrging atleast 50.00 to coat the windshield. is this bs?

I bet the only thing it protects is the wallet of the distributor.
