Yes I use the DS100 although not on every job. Is certainly is worth the money and yes you can crack the screen when using this tool. Having said that it rarely runs for more than an inch. You will find a lot of info on this tools if you do a search.
What do you use at the moment for drying out?

I use these for dry-out. I have had no crack-out problems. I'm able to control the heat better with this, than I can a Drystar.
http://www.bernzomatic.com/bernzomatic/ ... Prod100068 You can get these at most hardware and big box stores.

Is the ds100 the one that is a like a cars cigarette lighter on a handle?
I have an old one that was given to me that says, "Agent Rock Chip" or something like that on it. Used it to light a cigar!

Hi screenman as I live in Australia I haven't had this problem until now. We commonly have 30-40 Deg Celsius days, which dries most breaks out by 8-9AM. But in the last 2 months we have been experiencing rain every day or two.

The ds100 is a Delta Product. Haven't seen one up close though.

Mine says "Dry Star" on it. Pretty good price, I think I paid $66 for it. It does work very well. If any of you were thinking about getting one to remove moisture or to add some heat to the repair....this works great!

One of the best buys I made last year, but I still need the flamethrower as well. I have just combined it with a small digital timer that I fixed on a suction cup.

so you guys are using cigarette lighters to dry out a windshield repair? isn't that dangerous. i figured the repair can run too easily. is there any other way besides a heat gun or a lighter?
