Has anyone heard if AAA stopped waiving deductables in michigan. I just got a call from a customer and he said they told him that he would have to pay his 500 deductable to get the chips fixed. I was getting several aaa jobs a week and haven't had any in a few weeks. Wondered if that had anything to do with it

Since the windshield is less than $500 and that was his deductible why would they cover a repair? You have to have the extra glass coverage policy with many if you are going to have the higher deductible

GlassStarz,

In Michigan AAA covers the repairs for "free" even if they have a $1,000 glass deductible. The original question was has AAA stopped waiving deductibles on repairs? The answer for Tooldini is "NO" they haven't! The only insurance that I know of in this state that doesn't waive deductibles is StateFarm.

you missed what i was saying if they have a glass coverage they cover repair if they dont and have just full coverage and the dedctible is over the cost they dont the insurance industry is pretty much the same everywhere with minor state exceptions I called ACT and asked what is the coverage in michigan for AAA they need to have the optional glass coverage or a low deductible. nationwide 90% of people with full coverage get the glass as well its cheap but not everyone gets it

Its possible but it would be the first time in years that it has been like that. Thats why I was wondering that. No big deal really just wondered if something had changed. Thanks guys for the help.
