I'm looking for feedback from anyone using this ultra low viscosity resin like the stuff from Esprit-USA. If you cold list any likes/dislikes/whys/whynots it would be helpful. Thanks.

I haven't tried the Esprit resin for a number of years, but Delta Kits Premium Bond is about the same viscosity and many technicians absolutely love it. I used it for many years with excellent results before switching to the slightly higher viscosity MagniBond, but I didn't switch because of the viscosity. In fact, I think you will find it hard to tell the difference between a 5cps resin and a 15cps resin, although some technicians prefer a little higher viscosity resin in the summer.

If you have a spec sheet from a manufacturer that you trust and you are satisfied with the bonding strength, elasticity, and light refraction qualities, and you like the way your repairs turn out, I wouldn't worry too much about the viscosity.

I should add that some systems may require low vis resins, so I recommend that you follow the manufacturers recommendations for viscosity, but beyond that it is personal preference.

I used Esprit for about 5 years before changing to Magnibond about 4 years ago I have been delighted with Magnibond since. I have also tried many many resins and cannot tell the difference between 5cps and 15cps. As well as having good products Delta put a lot back into the trade which other manufacturers do not, this forum for instance. I think where ever possible they deserve our business.

My lowest viscosity resin is 20 CPS and I was interested in knowing the characteristics of the thinner resin.
