I think I have got an extra case and new polisher and maybe some other items laying around in the shop.

I've got the kit... it paid for more than 1/2 of it's cost on the first job. That being said, it's the only job I've done with it.

I found it easy to perform the scratch removal once I figured out just how to use it and the customer support was great. They had a trainer call me pretty quickly when I called in frustrated. Once he set me straight I got the job done.

How do you market this service? I haven't had anybody want scratches removed since the dealer on the first one!

The real money for this service is not in the motor trade, but in the construction industry. You need an open mind to go out and find the opportunities available to you, there are many.

I concur with screenman. Although I did offer scratch removal in both my fixed and mobile operations, it was a very small part of my business. However, I can't say that I spent a lot of time promoting scratch removal as I prefer rock chip repair, and feel there is better money in it. I probably could have gotten a few more automotive scratch removal jobs than I did, but probably not enough to make it worth a lot of extra effort.

We do get quite a few calls from people looking to remove scratches from commercial windows, usually damage from careless installation or handling, or vandalism. That seems to be the hot market for scratch removal.

Thanks for the thoughts guys.

I've quoted a couple of those jobs and still may get them when and if the litigation ever ends... nobody wants to admit liability on these two jobs!

I do need to think outside the 'car' more than I do. It's easy to get tied into one stream of thought and having folks like you to shake me out of it really helps.

I just found this forum a couple days ago. The experience and level of knowledge that appears to be here so far is wonderful... I hope that I can contribute one day!

Thanks again for your input!

By asking a question you have already contributed in a big way, without your effort we would not be able to come up with answers and idea's. I thank you for joining and posting.
