Windshield Repair Forum

I am thinking of starting a repair business in south missouri and I realize that one must market and build a reputation to aquire business...but I was just curious as to how many repairs you guys and gals do in one day?
Any info would be helpful in preparing my business plan and a budget. Thanks in advance

You should aim for an average of 20 repairs per week for a start. It is possible but does need energy and time. I for myself do perform that minimum figure easily all year round -and hardly do repairs mon-thu (most repairs are done during the weekend). Good luck!

I talk to windshield repair technicians around the world and I hear some technicians say they do between 5 and 10 per day and others that say that they do 15 or more repairs per day.

Thanks guys...So, could I hire additional techs and do enough marketing to keep them busy too, and do I pay them a % of the repair or an hourly wage? I am thinking that eventually I might want to grow my business and add additional techs in the surrounding areas. Thanks again...

Just be careful with hired help. They will never care about your company as much as you do. I've had hired help in the past but now I am back to doing all the work myself and I much prefer it this way. With employees I was always putting out their little fires and baby sitting grown men. My revenue is a bit lower now but I am much happier out doing the work myself.

And to answer your original question.....I was paying a percentage.
