Hello sorry if there is already a post for this type of thing but I could n t find one.The last couple of trucks I have been to the actual pit damage as been allot bigger than my injector . The size of the repair as been about 40 to 50 mm in size .Do you people think its a good idea to try and repair this type of damage .The truck company just want to stop it cracking and save them a few quid ,but it does`nt do your confidence and ego any good when it looks poo . Or is there a way to make it a good job . Second there is a damage that looks like an horse shoe shape it looks like a cricket ball hit it ,would anybody atempt this job.

You have a couple options I like to put a hole in a cure tab and stick a old drill bit in it place it over the chip with bit sticking into the break fill the big divot with your hardest and thickest pit filler and cure well when it is well cured pull out the bit you may need to stick your drill in there and give it a quick buzz to open things then place the injector over the now cured pit resin and fill as usual
You may also use a large pit adapter that many mfgs sell they work ok but I'm not a big fan of them
you other option is to pit fill and drill into the break through your pit filler I find doing it the other way with a small bit in it works better for me but that's a personal like
