Account executive Wade Schlichenmayer resigned from Delta Kits today, and also from the NWRA board of directors. We are very sorry to see Wade go, but could not blame him for taking a position closer to family and friends. Wade will be with us until February 23, so any of you who have had the pleasure of working with him will have until then to reach him by telephone, e-mail, or PM.
Thanks for everything Wade, we wish you the best of luck in your new career!

Sorry to hear that Wade is leaving DK. May I ask who is going to fill in the position on the NWRA board? Is it you Brent?

I am not interested in the position at this point in time Frank, and probably would not be considered even if I were. I have no idea who will replace Wade on the NWRA board, but for now it will not be a Delta Kits employee. Frankly I hope it is a repair only technician as I feel that is who really needs to be running the organization. Unfortunately there has been little interest from repair only technicians so far, and I believe there is a requirement that you are an NWRA member for 2 years before you can be considered for a board position, so even if someone who wanted to be involved were to join the NWRA today they would not be considered for a board position. I could be wrong about that, but that is what I was told be a repair only technician who recently asked to be considered for a board position.

You are right on the 2 year requirement. At least that is what I was told when I inquired about it.

Thanks for the kind words Shane. I'll be in your neck of the woods so maybe we can get together somewhere other than Vegas.

Wade,
It may not be a familiar rod and there may not be a fly on the end of the line. In fact, it probably won't be a trout. But, it will be a stunning sunrise and we pretty much limit on 5lb-12lb Redfish about 30 minutes south of New Orleans. Oh yeah, there's also that Jazz Fest thing going on the last week of April and the first week of May. Since God put both so close together, one could easily do both in a weekend. I'll even bring the camera so you won't have to talk about the "one that got away".
Adventure awaits.....
