I looked around this site and it seems you guys are the pros. So I'm hoping someone might have some advice for me.

I'm looking for a way to remove scratches from my rear window on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The previous owner must have run the wiper without a blade and there are some good scratches in the glass. The windshield is also speckeled as if it was sandblasted. Typical for Texas roads. It's not too bad at night, but on bright sunny days it's annoying.

Someone once suggested steel wool. I've also heard toothpaste.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

Eric,
Go to your local yellow pages (Glass section) and see if anyone has an ad for scratch removal. If not, look for a local windshield repair technician who can help you. If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail you may have some distortion after the polishing is complete.
As far as your windshield being pitted, get it replaced if it impairs your vision while driving
Good luck!
