Hello,

I just wanted to post this. I was out doing a repair, I recently purchased a 10' Extension cord from Delta to help aid in my repairs. I have had to use it maybe 3 times since I got it. Ive used it for my ME, Lamp. Today I used it with my hair dryer.
Everything was going great when my wife asked "What is that smell?"

I couldnt smell anything, Yet I looked into my van and seen smoke and it was coming from the plug in to the DC outlet.
I panic' unplugged it (Got a burn) and let it cool off.

I did in deed speak with Korey and believe that the Dryer carries too much juice should I say for the Extension cord to handle!
Thank You Korey for making it right although its of no fault to you guys....

See thats why Delta is Simply the BEST!!!!!

If you happen to purchase this extension cord from Delta be sure not to use the Hair Dryer with it. Using the Lamp, ME ect. Is fine! Yes in case your wondering I did get to finish my repair on this particular fleet unit!

Heaters and hair dryers draw a lot more amperage than most people think. Both the Delta Kits battery and the 12V extension cords that we sell are great for lights but not engineered for the power requirements of heaters and hair dryers. Moisture evaporators are fine because they are only used for 20 seconds at a time. I guess we need to put some warning labels on our 12V accessories.

Sorry for the problem Chad. I'm glad nothing else was damaged.

I've got to say that Delta is probably the most professional and helpful company I've ever dealt with in any industry. You guys make customer service look like an art form. I mean, I'm not even a large customer and I still have your great employees calling me to offer advice after I mentioned a problem I had on this message board. Delta is the best -- bare none! I know one thing, no matter how much time I spend in this industry, Delta is going to be the ONLY place I buy my gear from -- period!

kingmoney,
While a little off the subject topic, I have to agree with you; the customer service that Delta Kits provides is the best (actually, I can't recall getting such high quality from ANY company in any industry).
Brent has been great about giving VERY detailed and lengthy explanations to every question I have asked (no matter how dumb of a newbie question it was). I am presently going through a rough time in my life and Korey has been very gracious.
At the risk of being redundant, I don't know which is better; the quality of the equipment that Delta provides or the customer service that comes with it.
Happy holidays all,
David

OK the checks are in the mail guys!

Seriously though, all of your kind remarks are very humbling and greatly appreciated. My employees make me look good but it's our customers that put food on the table. Thanks for your business, patience, loyalty, and understanding. We are nothing without all of you.
