If you want to discuss what we have done in more detail don't hesitate to give me a call.
Brent, what is a good guide for pricing? I have heard $50 per repair. However, I have also heard 25 for the first chip and 10 for everyone there after on the same windshield, on the same visit.

I live in a town notorious for low balling. Sure that is the case in many places. What have you all found is a good standard?

From what our customers tell us the nationwide average is still somewhere around $60. We charge a bit more than that and are usually the highest price in town, but I know what you mean about low-ballers, they are everywhere. I try not to worry to much about what everyone else charges and just set a price that I believe is fair for the customer and still puts a few bucks in our pocket. We know we will never have all the business so we just focus on quality and customer service, which I believe is the right combination for long term success.

I don't try to tell anyone else what to charge, but I do encourage technicians to do good work and not underestimate their value.

Look at it this way, The low ballers need to do twice the work you would just to make the same as you would at your price.

In our town we have one low baller fly by night here for a while on his 4th spot. and the others are charging more than I am, and when I get price callers, I have been getting most of the work.

We even have one that does not charge at all for repairs, Free, no charge, no billing. He thinks he will get a customer to keep at that time for their other services. Just his new game he is playing. All the power to him.
