I understand how Lynx works but not so much with Safelite. And why not just do direct billing?

lynx you are more likely to receive referral calls. For my business, I've had two referrals in 4 1/2 years with Safelite. The benefit with Safelite is their online invoicing. Once you get used to it, you can process an invoice in 2 or 3 minutes and there are no online invoicing fees.

I've been signed up with Lynx since October 09 and I have not received one referral from them. I constantly receive referrals on a daily basis from Harmon Solutions Group, but not from anywhere else.

For what it is worth. As someone who used to direct bill I will tell you it can be done. Even for the big name insurance companies. I was paid my full price as well. It came with a price though called aggravation. My experience on a small scale was loaded with headaches and could not imagine doing this on a large scale. That being said, some pays came 60-90 days, I got short pays that required re billing, and sometimes the checks would comoe from the networks anyway and a ton of chasing invoices. I felt it was just to much to stay on top of. That being said...it can be done and if you are compelled to try have at it. I am sure others are doing it and will have there experiences to share. I posted a quite a bit on this at one time if you want to search.

As with most, I am not happy with the Safelite network. As of the other day, I caught them steering again and even had them set up to do the work for my customer. Unfortunately, my customer was not aware of it and I happen to follow up with him a day in advance of Safelite going out to do the repair and ended up doing the repairs. The sad part about it is that my customer had no idea what had happened to him. It was only my luck that I called and followed up when I did. It is sad when companies have to behave in un-ethical manners. Rather than leading by example, they shamelessly stick it to all of us. If nothing else, I am proud in how our company conducts business and our stellar ethics.
