Those things are a joke....why do you think most of us charge 2 to 3 times the cost of that kit to perform the service professionally. I have only seen the kits work on mildly yellowed lenses...if the old coating is peeling or really deteriorated then you are wasting time and money with a DIY headlight restoration kit.

The 3m kit uses a 500 800 and 3000 and the foam app and compound...the 3000 disk is the 3m trizact, The trizact system is part of the commercial end of 3m, 3m is not a toy company, when it comes to their commercial products.
I Use this system, but I buy the 3000 disk in the in the 15 pack, fyi you can find the kits as low as $11.00

I was in O'Reiley Auto Parts the other day and inquired about headlight restoration and they carried a commercial kit with upgraded commercial products. Not the same product for 18.00 on the shelf. The sander and buffer though were pneumatic tools which means you have to use at the very least a 10 gallon air compressor. In my opinion though your air compressor would need to be a little bigger. The kit was around 360.00 and a compressor for your tools would run an additional 350.00 plus. Not to mention the headache of installing the compressor to your rig. So in my way of thinking the delta kits headlight retoration kit is a steal. And I am happy to announce I will be ordering one this week.

So I ordered the H/L restoration kit with some help from Bob Ellert who was really patient with me as I tried to save money by doing it my way. Should have listened to him and bought the whole kit a kaboodle. Anyway, I got all neccessary items to professionally restore headlights. I am so satisfied with my purchase I can't stop patting myself on the back. The system is so easy to use. I say that because other than a cordless drill, I don't have a lot of experience with power tools. The Metabo is just the right size to do the job and is not so heavy or heavy at all that it becomes tiresome. So far I have restored the headlights on my 95 Ford Windstar and 99 Tahoe. I tried a to restore these same lamps about a month ago with a system I bartered for from a local detail supply co. I was not satisfied with the results so I started my research for a true restoration system and not just a polishing system. The Delta Kits System is just that, a true restoration system. You couldn't wipe the smile off my face when I started the polishing phase because I knew once I rinsed and applied the coat to protect it was all money from there. The headlamps on the Windstar look brand new, I think I now need a paint job. I just finished the Tahoe this evening with awesome results. You would think that I have been doing this for years, that is how easy this system is to use. I have one more practise job lined up on a friend's Jeep Grand Cherokee. The h/ls on this Jeep are severly oxidized so it should be a true test and challenge. Can't wait, I bet the Delta Kits H/L restoration kit and I come through victorious. I am taking pictures of these and building a portfolio to use when asking for business. Delta Kits, thank you so much for products that I can be proud to use. Watch out New Mexico there is a new sheriff in town.

No this is not a paid endorsement, Just a satisfied customer.
