While browsing around I saw that Dvelup was now offering a new protectant coating that required no mixing. Anybody try it yet?

Bought some last week and have done 8 vehicles with it so far. Spoke to Ben at the company, and he said it was basically the same product as the 2K, but they figured out how to stabilize it and simplify things by not having to mix. Personally, I prefer to use a spray-on UV product from another supplier. Wipe on has its place, but its kind of a pain in the rear to me. Too little product on the towel and you have streaks. Too much on the towel and you get bubbles. Started with a wipe on product 5 years ago and now I remember why I quit using it. I bought the 3 bottle deal as its a much better value than buying one at a time. Allegedly, the 3 bottles are enough to do 60 lenses. Maybe if they are all 98-99 Taurus lights it might be. It would appear there is maybe enough to do 12-15 lenses if you are doing a lot of late model cars with their larger lenses. The end result looks nice, probably comparable to what you're used to if you're using the Delta Kits 2K product.

Are you stating that there is no mixing with the new product, and gives the same results as the 2k sold by deltakits?

I got the email too and looked at their website.....there is now no mixing with their new formula. Is it the same as DK's, only DK and Dvelup would know that.

As to whether Delta 2K and Brand X, 2K is one and the same, is for someone else to address. Does the new product work as advertised? Yes. Is it a one step product? Yes. After my whining about using it, I broke down and bought the recommended Kimberly Clark brand Scott shop towels. What do you know? It works great! Hard to believe there could be that much difference in lint free towels. Since I also paint, I have Dupont Surface Prep towels which is what I was trying to use previously. When all else fails, follow directions.
