Strange Chip

How would you go about repairing a bullseye chip where the point of impact is combined with a pit that the injector is too small to cover?

Use your pit filler and cover the pit and cure. Then after curing the pit , drill out the break and proceed as normal.

Source injector seals with a larger aperture. Currently, I use four different types of injector seals including a large pit adapter.

Cap and fill, I hate large pit adapters and dropped using them 20 years ago.

I agree with Screenman. I was taught to use the Adapters myself a long time ago. Never liked it really because they need more resin but more important: due to the nature of the tool, it covers a wider area so it is difficult to monitor the work while you perform the repair. I would rather ''pit fill' the impact point with pit fill resin, cure that, scrape it off to create a nice smooth area, drill a hole and then fill the void.
