UV light...light vs LED?

I went to my local parts store today looking for a few things and going through his parts book, i ran across a 100 watt UV light for $130 bucks, then on the nxt page there was a UV LED light in the shape of a phaser type gun..lol Not sure what else to call it so we will call this a star trek thead i guess... Anyways, has anyone ever tried a LED over a regular UV lamp / light?

Don't reinvente the wheel just go to Delta and buy you a good lamp.

Those dye tracer UV lights will do little or nothing to cure uv adhesive. It takes a specific wavelength to cure resin... not just a purple glowy light.
