I was just wondering if anybody has tried joining up with a local Chamber organization to help increase repair referrals? I did this in the past with my glass shop which worked well for glass replacement jobs but haven't attempted this yet in the repair business. Actually, I'm not sure they would even let me join cause I no longer have store front business property.
Maybe someone on here has done this already and would like to share their experiences.
Local Chamber of Commerce
I have mixed feelings about chambers. Some are really good and others are just a social outlet for lonely small business people. But when I belonged to more than a few, I was after big business so it might be a good thing for WSR. The big upside I can see, is that there is usually alot of insurance agents and real estate agents involved. I'm pretty sure you don't need a store front, because I was a warehouse operation and besides, the more members they have the better for the chamber. They want as many dues paying members they can get to list in all their publications. The bigger the chamber the more the dues. Anyway, I think Star should join and let us know how it goes.
I would do it myself Star but I'm already over budget on dues and subcriptions for this year.
