Technique to "open" paths for resin

I occasionally run into difficulty in getting paths open to all break areas. When probing the break or drilling I find that often there is no direct path to some of the cracks. Consequently the resin doesn't flow into all the breaks. Any tips on how to get the resin to flow to the more remote cracks that are not connected to the main break?

drill at an angle from the point of impact towards the crack in question and then pop a little bullseye.
Use a sewing machine needle as the spring hammer will whack the glass too hard.

Tap on the needle gently with a hammer?

If a leg is tight near impact point I will gently "pop" on crack with slide hammer...Increase impact pressure as needed. If that is unsuccessful then drill and pop.

If it is definitely unconnected the I use a blunt aluminum tipped punch along with a toffee hammer to break it into the rest of the damage.

I take it you have checked all other reasons for a leg not filling first though.

Another thought is that this is when a magnifying glass is a great help.

I am glad you are taking the effort to fill the break most guys over here do not trouble to do so.

Toffee hammer every time, when you lose one you have to eat all the toffee to get another one.
