Resin choices and likes for beach So Cal environments.

Post by Wayneious »

Hey there everyone,

Just did the ol intro at the water cooler area…so now I am off to the races into the Windshield Repair section.
I am upgrading some tools as I learn more about them…not doing any repairs yet as a business until I personally feel I have a great grasp on the work I am doing.

I am looking at the various resins and practicing with them, Yet I'd like to simply grab a census of what people that are in the know, like.

The business will operate in the So California area and I would like to find out if there are any preferred viscosity resin choices for those that are around here or in a climate area such as I have here in Los Angeles.

I look forward to your input.

Wayneious.

I was in San Diego recently and used the same resin I use in NC and it works just fine. Talk to Bruce or Korey at DK. I have friends north of you that use DK and another supplier. They may respond to your request for your area. I use DK magnibond almost exclusively or about 99% of the time. If I do a long crack I use something else. I dont have to carry a lot of different resins and try to guess which to use depending on the break type. Magnibond works in heat, cold etc. I have 4 seasons in my area and I get the same results.

Many thanks for the reply.

I am going to try the Magni also.

I want to see just how each product works.
